Residents Shine at Annual “Senior Prom”
Brigham House held its annual “Senior Prom” for residents on June 7th. The festive evening was a showcase for resident finery, a delicious chef-prepared dinner, lively dancing, and the crowning of this year’s King & Queen – Douglas Banks and Kathy McGann.
Residents and ” Tiny Tots” Teach & Learn from Each Other
Resident Patricia Hanley reads to a few tiny tots at a recent “Awesome Authors” story time event, one of the many intergenerational events we regularly participate in with the Watertown Family Network to keep our youngest and oldest generations connected.

Our Resident Life Director, Kaylyn Proper, displays “The Mondrain Dog”, an exquisite artwork gifted to Brigham House by its creator, Margo Volterra (left), a member of the Watertown Art Association. “We’ll cherish it for many years to come.”
“Barn Babies” Delight Residents
When new born puppies, kittens and piglets come for a visit, delighted residents come running for the opportunity to cuddle and hug these precious “barn babies”
Carving Jack-o-Lanterns
Last Tuesday, our SHOWA University friends taught residents the art of Origami and Calligraphy. Our residents returned the favor, teaching them the tradition of carving pumpkins. Every one turned out to be a beautiful example of American folk art with a Japanese twist.
A BOO-tiful Halloween Party!
On October 23rd, children and families flocked to Brigham House for a Halloween Party & Concert featuring Berklee’s “Debbie & Friends”. Residents taught crafts, raffled prizes and passed out treats to all the little ghosts and goblins thanks to the Watertown Family Network.
